About Our Laboratory

 

Our laboratory is a CLIA-certified and CAP accredited facility that offers comprehensive cytogenetic diagnosis for acquired chromosome abnormalities. We provide conventional karyotype analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) studies for the detection and characterization of chromosome abnormalities in clinical specimens. The Cytogenetics Laboratory includes an American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics-certified clinical cytogeneticist/clinical molecular geneticist, highly knowledgeable laboratory supervisors, and well-experienced staff.

KSL Diagnostics is licensed in New York, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island and is the first New York State laboratory to achieve ISO 15189:2012 certification for quality and competence.

Molecular Pathology Laboratory

 

KSL Diagnostics Molecular Pathology Laboratory offers molecular diagnostic testing for neoplastic diseases. The laboratory uses a spectrum of molecular techniques and platforms to evaluate nucleic acids isolated from patient samples including PCR, qPCR, sequencing, and fragment analysis.

 

The Molecular Pathology Laboratory works closely with the Cytogenetics Laboratory to provide integrated and cutting-edge precision molecular and genomic diagnostic services to patients.

 

In addition to the neoplastic molecular testing, KSL also supports your infectious diseases testing for diagnosis of respiratory viruses.
