Draw 5mL in a sodium heparin (green top) tube
Bone Marrow:
Draw 2-5 ml in sodium heparin (green top) tube
In case of dry tap, send additional (green top) tube of peripheral blood as a back-up
Stability:
Specimen viability decreases during transit
Send to testing lab day of collection when possible
Specimen optimum if received within 48 hours
